On Thursday the 6th of September the students of St Patrick's primary were lucky enough to experience a live readers theatre of the storybook “Wolf” by Becky Bloom performed by their amazing teachers. Reader's theater is a style of theater in which the actors do not memorize their lines. Actors use only vocal expression to help the audience understand the story rather than visual storytelling.
The storybook “Wolf” by Becky Bloom is about A wolf entering a farmyard intending to scare the animals and is greatly disappointed to discover that all the farm animals are all busy reading. Through the animals' condescension, the wolf is inspired to learn to read!
Students truly enjoyed the reenactment of their favorite storybook. Many laughs and smiles were shared amongst the staff and students on the day. A big Thank you to the wonderfully talented teachers who performed and to the teachers who acted as set ninjas preparing the set for the children.
